From an early age I have always been into german
shepherd dogs although I love all animals, but the breed
just stood out for me above all others over the years I
have had about 5 gsds my first gsd I got was in the
early 80s she was a by-colour bitch called Gudrun which
I bought from a kennels in bury she was 11 when she
passed and I thought I would never get over loosing her
I had a break from having any animals for years until I
meet mark in 1997 and he wanted a dog so I suggested a
gsd, mark said no way at the time cause he was scared of
them I laughed at him and told him not to be so daft we
finally agreed to have a gsd although mark was extremely
wary of the breed we got Max a black and gold male he
was 7 months old and we bought him from a breeder who we
became very good friends with and still are we got Max
in 1998 just after me and mark got married, about a year
later my friend breed a litter of puppies and I fell in
love with one in particular at the age of 8 weeks old we
took her home and called her Molly although she is a
long coat she reminded me so much of my first gsd
Gaudrum same colour same temperament molly is a star of
a dog and always has been she loves everything and every
one in 2002 we decide with the help of my friend to
breed from Molly so I mated her with Max and I got my
first litter of puppies as I had never done this before
we were both a bit scared but my friend was always on
hand incase we had any problems in 2003 we sadly lost
Max at the age of 6 as you can imagine we were
devastated and decided that we were never having any
more dogs as its to heart breaking, in 2006 we got Ella
a beautiful girl from my friend and I go training with
her every sunday I entered Ella in her first show in
march 2008 at Bolton gsd club and she came 4th in her
class I also got Ella hip scored and it come back at
3-5=8 we were delighted at this Mark now says that he
would never have any other breed of dog . Ella has been awarded
the KC Good citizen certificate. and also a Bronze
Progress award part2.
